My old headphone was getting old. Now I have a new headphone, the AKG K701. It has a nice design and the audio quality is amazing! The ear pads aren't very small, enough space for my ears! They only weigh 235 gram, not very heavy.
Quality
My music files are FLAC format instead of MP3, what most people use. FLAC stands for Free Losless Audio Codec. The audio that is compressed in FLAC doesn't have any loss in quality. If you have cheap headphones you probably won't hear any difference between MP3 and FLAC. When you're listening music with the AKG K701 you can hear the difference. The audio bandwidth of my headphone is 10Hz to 39,8kHz. With that bandwidth you can hear almost everything. Too bad my iPhone doesn't support FLAC files. Ah well, I only listen music at my iPhone when I'm not home.
Guitar
When I plug my AKG into my amplifier for my guitar it also sounds perfect! You really can hear the difference between the amp's speaker and the headphone. Not a long time ago I got some new strings for my guitar, the new strings in combination with the new headphone is amazing. I wish I had a Gibson Les Paul '59. That would be even more amazing, but those guitars cost about 1 million dollar. That's a little bit too much!
Well, that's it. Keep on reading!
